About

Welcome to in the beginning was the blog, a place to think and learn about Theology and Christianity; its strengths weaknesses and the assumptions we make about it and to encourage people to show respect for the beliefs of others no matter what their beliefs (including non-Christian religions, agnostics and atheists).

This blog will not just be theories and abstract concepts, after-all religion is about people: the hopes and dreams of humanity, the heartbreak and suffering, the inspiration and joy. I find Theology fascinating, especially in the historical context: the way it has shaped western society and affected pretty much the whole world, sometimes for good, sometimes for bad but always in interesting ways.

As I’m a pretty busy person with family and work these days, I’ll probably only be posting once a week so I hope that you will follow me in your RSS readers or check back every week or so and please please leave comments if my posts make you think for more than half a second.

For those of you who read along on Bogosity, this is not a continuation of that blog but perhaps it is the sequel. I hope to be more consistent with the kind of stuff I write about, more researched, less personal and less opinionated.
